Actinomycosis Histopathology

Identification features:
1. Number of filamentous bacteria-Actinomyces, arranged in spherical colonies in the granulation tissues.
2. The colonies are intensely basophilic stained
3. There is abscess formation and granulomatous reaction containing polymorphs, lymphocytes, many plasma cells and fibroblasts
