Hello, friends, this is good to be here teaching the basics of neuroanatomy through this blog. First, I would like to look into the subject of why the students and the newly budding doctors are fearing neuroanatomy. Actually, Neurosciences are very enlightening and promising to a better world in a way we couldn't even imagine. Learning about how we are learning is an important thing that should be taken care of. And what makes neurosciences more interesting is that it never fails to disappoint us in throwing surprises right at our faces. So, let's learn the neurosciences in a way that we see how we see, we hear how we hear, we feel how we feel, we taste how we taste and so on.

Understanding the structure of anything is the first step in understanding the function of it. So, before learning about the functioning mechanism of the most valuable gift from nature, the so-called Human Brain, let's know some basic anatomy about it step by step.

The basic anatomy of the nervous system in our body has been classified into 2 broad domains viz, 1.Central nervous system 2.Peripheral nervous system.

1.Central nervous system: It basically comprises of the human brain and the spinal cord.
2. Peripheral nervous system is simply all those structures that are actually out of the above two ( of course, there can be few exceptions.)

Apart from the traditional way of explaining the structures in the body lets go through a more simpler approach by correlating the insides of our body with what we see outside. Because we believe what we feel, what we see and what we hear.

So, let's compare our entire human body to be a highly developed, functioning metropolitan city. I invite you now to think about what and all we want from basic needs to complex supplies in a day to run a metropolitan city smoothly without any breakdown. So, before reading further, please take a pen and paper and jot out all the things you think, that are needed for the normal smooth functioning of a metropolitan city.

Yeah, I hope my list and your list may be similar in some aspects. Let's see how is it similar to the functioning of our whole human body.
From my observation, a city is made up of the most basic unit, which is also the most precious and mandatory unit which is none other than the people of the city. The primary goal of all the complex systems in the functioning city is to deliver what the people want. Now compare the people of the city with the most basic unit of our human body, the cell. All those complex mechanism and structures inside our body is just to deliver the needs of the cells in an optimum way. Now just close your eyes and answer my questions. What and all you wish to get to live? Will you live forever if you are normal? Do all of us have the same purpose as life? To be successful what are those things which guide us?. The answer to these questions will give you the answers to most of the basic mechanisms in our human body. Because both our lifestyle and our human cell's lifestyle are the same.

With this introduction, let's see the core concepts one by one.
